Veronika Mesheriakova, MD
Welcome!
I’m here because I wanted to build a different kind of medical practice—one where depth, presence, and connection are at the center of care. After years in academic and hospital-based settings, I was ready to create a space where every young person is met with time, attention, and true partnership.
Before private practice, I spent nearly a decade on faculty at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where I cared for young people, taught medical trainees, and helped lead innovation in youth-focused addiction and reproductive health services. At UCSF, I founded the Youth Outpatient Substance Use Program (YoSUP), a dedicated outpatient clinic for youth struggling with addiction that helped shape institutional approaches to adolescent behavioral health.
I was born in Tallinn, Estonia (then part of the USSR), and immigrated to the United States with my family when I was eight years old. I grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, earned my bachelor’s degree in biology at South Dakota State University, and received my medical doctorate from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota. I went on to complete my Pediatrics residency at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and a three-year fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at UCSF. I’m board-certified in General Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, and Addiction Medicine—a combination that allows me to provide truly integrated, developmentally tailored care.
By intentionally limiting the number of patients I see, I’m able to bring my full focus to each visit. I offer care that is not only evidence-based, but also deeply attuned to the emotional and developmental needs of youth and families. I believe healing happens in relationship—and that the best care comes from a place of clarity, connection, and trust.
Rooted in science. Grounded in care. Guided by hope.
